The long experience gained in the automatic cutting industry through hundreds of installations and the steady dialog with our customers helped us in creating a reliable, safe, user friendly performing product. In a few days an operator can create the work programs and achieve excellent results, both in terms of productivity and material savings. Our machines are designed to work 24 hours a day and the quality of the components used enables us to guarantee that they are suitable to bear this type of workload. They are cutting "robots", granting power, precision and speed. The main technological components are:
By combining different technological modules it is possible to manufacture both specialized and universal cutting modules. These cutting systems are extremely efficient. The sturdy framework and the quality of mechanical components allow cutting speeds beyond 110 punches per minute, with a precision of a few tenth of a millimeter, which allows parts to be kept as close as possible, increasing the material savings. The cutting power, up to 50 tons, is kept steady even for extremely long production runs allowing these machines to cut hard materials of high thickness, in single or multiple layers and use multiple dies or dies with long blade development. The software allows to calculate, with considerable precision, for each material consumption and time required (thus labor cost) in order to make accurate simulations of the cutting cost, enabling better production planning and more precise offers to customers. Using these cutting systems you can achieve considerable costs savings. Material Savings: the quality of design and components allows extreme precision in positioning, minimizing the distance between cut pieces. The automatic nesting software calculates automatically optimal layouts to take advantage of the allowed precision. Time Savings and Increased Flexibility: the software can prepare the cutting program in a few seconds. Using a die plate it is possible to change the die very quickly. This fast configuration change makes even the cutting of small production batches, of a few hundred parts, cost effective. Labor Savings: the system allows high quality cutting even with inexperienced operators. A single cnc cutting machine can substitute 3-5 traditional trolley presses and their skilled operators. Low Operating Costs: the special design, which takes advantage of Atom patented solutions, grants high cutting power and speed with limited power consumption. The special design allows the changing of the cutting belts in a few hours without the intervention of specialized external technicians. The quality of components reduces the maintenance costs and minimizes the maintenance time.
The ATOM CNC die cutting lines are divided accordingly with cutting power & material feeding:
Designed for Reliability and Low Maintenance The innovative conception of ATOM CNC Die Cutting Systems owes it's strength to the fully integrated process of design, manufacturing, assembling and test that characterizes an ATOM press as unique worldwide. ATOM conceives and manufactures the whole system: from hydraulics, to mechanics, to electronics, to software. All die cutting machines and operating software have been designed simultaneously by ATOM engineers for absolute compatibility and full integration. Easy Operation No special skills are required to operate the press. Your current press operators can use it. Machine programming and nesting may be carried out either locally or remotely from your production planning office. Cutting programs can be transferred through network or diskette. The work schedule automatically controls the press and informs the operators when material and tool changes are required. If your material width varies, or rush jobs require immediate priority, the operator can instantly re nest the schedule to accommodate these changes. Standard cutting tools are fitted onto a simple steel carrier plate and easily replaced on the cutting head in less than ten seconds. Strong Construction This die cutting press is a pure CNC machine, not a manual press retrofitted with some automatic features. The construction of the press, designed on the latest CAD systems, is the most robust and rigid available. Positive mechanical end of stroke is automatically set ensuring accurate depth of cut. Ball lead screws and rectified gears ensure positioning accuracies are constantly maintained within a few tenths of millimeters, thus allowing foe minimum gaps between cuts and, in turn, for better material utilization. Quick Cutting Belt Substitution
Despite the special device that avoids repeated impressions on the same point of the belt, even if the mechanical stop with automatic adjustment ensures a precision of penetration in the belt up of a few hundredth of millimeter it is not possible to avoid the substitution of the belt. Most CNC die cutting machines on the market uses open-ring belts, which require special equipments to be installed, the intervention of specialized technicians and from 24 to 48 hours machine stop. This implies the need to plan the substitution job and of course it is a very expensive operation. Atom CNC die cutting presses use closed-ring belts instead. Their design allows removing it from one machine side, without using special equipment, in a few hours and without the intervention of external technicians. The closed-ring design ensures a defects-free junction, which is very important because the smallest imprecision can turn into considerable imprecision in material positioning, compromising the precision of the cutting system. Powerful Nesting Software
These powerful automatic nesting systems have been specifically designed by ATOM on the basis of the experience gained with hundreds of die cutting machines installed at customers from all industries exclusively by Manufacturers Supplies. ATOM die cutting systems can thus achieve the highest possible material savings, providing a full job control, accurate costing, and complete production scheduling. |
