Over the years, as a result of continued investments in research & development, numerous die cutting lines have joined the famous “clicker” family: traveling head cutting presses, manual & automatic full beam die cutting machines, up to the sophisticated automatic CNC die cutting systems.

Listed below are the die cutting presses & systems currently manufactured by ATOM SpA available in the United States, Mexico & Central America exclusively through Manufacturers Supplies Company.

ATOM Swingbeam Clicker Presses : The most interesting feature of our swing-arm clicker presses is the hydraulic system, designed and patented by ATOM. It allows our machines to generate a cutting power up to 25 tons using an electric motor of just 1 HP, therefore electric power absorption is very limited. When evaluating a swing arm cutting press, the main features to consider are: 1) structural features, such as cutting power, the size of the cutting pad and of the cutting arm, 2) control systems such as power setting, fine adjustment of the stroke end & the devices that make the arm easier to move.

ATOM produces three lines of swing beam clicker presses:

     SE Series:
ATOM SE Series clicker press equipped with automatic stroke end setting, designed for different height cutting dies without the need for adjustment and control push buttons with built in devices for 3/10 second maximum delay operation to insure operator safety. These presses range from 20-25 tons of cutting force with bed sizes up to 20"x40" and head sizes up to 24" in width.

     Multiforce Series :

The multiforce system sets the cutting pressure automatically to maximize the ease of use and reduce the consumption of the cutting pad up to 50%. The light-swing system ensures the maximum ergonomics, to lower operator fatigue. Cutting powers from 20-25 tons with bed sizes up to 20" x 48".

     SAB Series :

The SAB series clicker press is the ideal solution for optimal production. The head moves automatically with the push of a button. Place your die down and hit the switch, the head cuts then automatically moves out of the way and the operator picks up the cut part and die. Place the die down over the material and hit the switch again and the head automatically seeks the die and cuts.

Platen Presses:
Highly versatile systems to support plating, drilling, printing, embossing, total cutting & kiss-cutting a wide range of materials, both natural & synthetic. The main fetaure is the high cutting power, 120 & 180 Tons, @ an affordable cost. The ATOM plating machines' are suitable to cut materials or shapes requiring high power on limited surfaces, as well as to customize components for footwear, leather-goods, garments, interior trim, automobile seating, & many more by adding drawings, carvings, embossed logos, decorating holes & printing through color transfer.

Traveling Head Die Cutting Presses :
ATOM Traveling Head Presses can be used to cut most materials, synthetic or natural, in roll or sheet form. The main features of our movable trolley presses are: high speed of trolley displacement & cutting, automatic adjustment of cutting power, dynamic brake system, low maintenance costs, low power absorption, consistent cutting power, advanced control & safety systems on CE certified models. Cutting powers ranging from 25, 35 & 50 tons with bed sizes up to 40" x 90" and platens 40" x 40". Options available include: semi-automatic nip roll feeder, roll racks, simple or programmable stroke counter.

CNC (2-Axis) Traveling Head Presses:
ATOM's CNC Traveling Head Cutting System with 2 controlled axis are a simple and inexpensive cutting solution for cutting rigid & semi-rigid materials in rolls or joined sheets. Major advantages of all CNC presses: material & labor savings with cutting speeds up to 60 strokes per minute. The material feeding is guaranteed by automatic rolls with a positioning tolerance of +/- 1mm. The cutting is performed on a HYDROMA polypropelene pad, automatically moved with user-set frequency. This will increase the pad life by avoiding repeated cuts on the same spot. There are two models available with cutting powers of 25 & 50 tons.

CNC (3-Axis) Traveling Head Presses
ATOM's CNC Traveling Head Cutting System with 3 controlled axis can rotate the cutting head therefore it is possible to maximum material utilization from the automatic nesting system. They are cutting robots, granting power, precision & speed. The main technological components include: automatic nesting software, CNC module with advanced interface designed for ergonomics & ease of use, high cutting speeds up to 110 strokes per minute, & automatic material feeding. The cutting power, available in 25-40-50 tons, is kept consistent for extremely long production runs allowing the system to cut hard materials in single or multiple layers. The powerful nesting software calculates each material consumption and time required (thus labor cost) in order to produce precise simulations of the cutting cost, enabling improved production planning & more accurate offers to customers. Material savings from 5% -- 35% eliminating up too 7 manually operated traveling head cutting presses.

Full Beam Cutting Presses:
The ATOM line of Full Head Beam Cutting Presses is widely used when high cutting power and/or large cutting dies are required. They can handle both single and multiple shape cutting dies. Cutting power from 20 to 165 tons, with different feeding systems optimised for several different jobs. All of the beam presses share the same common features: 1) special kinematic Y mechanism with a single central piston, & 2) three different stop systems; automatic pressure setting, electric stop sensor & mechanical stops w. micrometric adjustment. Platen sizes available up to 86.6" (W) x 70" (D).
