The ATOM Platen Press is suitable for cutting materials or shapes requiring high tonnage on limited surfaces, as well as to customize components for footwear, leather goods, garments, interior trim, seating and many more by adding drawings, carvings, embossed or de-bossed logos, decorating holes, & printing through color transfer. Manufacturers Supplies Company and the ATOM Corporation propose several models segmented into three lines:

• PL: equipped with a thermal plate, ideal solution for plating and printing.  The PL series platen press is available with power up to 180 tons and a working surface up to 700 x 600 mm.  The work steps (closing, pressing, heating, opening) are completely automatic.  The machines can be designed with a manual or automatic tray with adjustable speed.  Optional devices available include: die plate, thermal pate up to 200 degrees Celsius, feeding device for color band advancement.
• PT: equipped with a mechanical positive stop to fine tune the depth of the cut, ideal for cutting hide & synthetic materials as well as kiss-cutting many adhesive backed products.  The cutting power can be up to 120 tons and the available surface up to 700 x 600mm.  Features available with line are: 1) double cutting stop system: precision pressure regulation & mechanical stop, 2) pressure time adjustment with up to 60 seconds dwell 3) high cutting power up to 120 tons (250 bar) 4) trolley with programmable automatic movement & 5) optional die plate.  In addition, it is possible print & cut at the same time.
• PT: equipada con un tope positivo mecánico para ajustar la profundidad del corte, ideal para el corte de piel y materiales sintéticos, así como corte delicado de muchos productos adhesivos garantizados. El poder de corte puede ser de hasta 120 toneladas y la superficie disponible de hasta 700 x 600mm. Funciones disponibles en línea son: 1) doble sistema de parada de corte: precisión en la regulación de presión y tope mecánico, 2) ajuste de la  presión basada en tiempo con hasta 60 segundos, 3) gran potencia de corte de hasta 120 toneladas (250 bar), 4) tren o carro con movimiento automático programable, y 5) placa de troquelado opcional. Además, es posible imprimir y cortar al mismo tiempo.
  
• PLT: the most complete version, with mechanical positive head stop & thermal plate, the PLT can be used cutting, kiss-cutting, printing, plating, & embossing leather & synthetic materials.  The cutting pressure can reach 120 tons and the available surface is up to 700 x 600 mm.  This line is normally referred to as a hybrid between the features of a manual die-cutting machine and the framework of a plating machine.  They are a compact and affordable solution for cutting needs requiring high tonnage.  The precise pressure adjustment & mechanical positive head stop with micro-metric setting allow them to cut with extreme accuracy.  The pressure can be set up to 60 seconds & the trolley movement is automatic with a variable speed adjustment.  Upon request, an optional mold holder plate is available.  This series is only available in two sizes with automatic trolley translation.

ATOM also produces special models as well to meet a customers specific converting requirement such as a "PL" machine for automatic plating of materials in rolls up to 650mm in width.
